When I was in my early twenties, there was a local comic book shop that sold vintage Star Wars toys. This was way before Ebay made it easy to find anything you wanted if you had the money. Someone came in with about 10 figures on SW cards in various conditions and traded them for a boxed Alien figure from 1979. The toy dealer put the newly acquired figure on the shelf for sale. One of them was this Boba Fett. Fett wasn't even in the first SW movie but was released for a very short time on a SW card before the Empire Strikes Back was released. So this was super rare. He had this one marked at $500 at the time. Then his brother/partner told him to keep because, "When will you ever see another Fett figure on a SW card?". So not only was the original price way out of my league, it was no longer for sale. Years later, I saved up some cash and a SW carded Fett went up on Ebay. It was probably one of the first ones to be sold on Ebay. I paid $500. It was an awesome addition to my collection. Years later I sent it in to AFA (a toy grading company). They sent it back in a sealed case and graded it 75 out of 100. It was down graded for the bubble and the card. The figure was mint. And even years later down the road, I put it back on Ebay and sold it for $1200.

This was a Boba Fett figure made in Taiwan. I bought it sealed on a cut card. After opening it, I send this one in to AFA and it received a 90 out of 100. If I'd sent it in still sealed, it would have received a U90, meaning "uncirculated".

This is a picture of a prototype Fett that is on a catalogue that came with a collector's case.

Here's a pic of the Fett figure before being sent to AFA.
